Matthew Morris 16 Year Anniversary with A Line Boutique, and Jonathan Simkhai
Join us in celebrating Matthew Morris Salon and Skincare’s 16 Year Anniversary on September 22 at ReelWorks in RiNo. A Line Boutique is partnering exclusively with Matthew Morris, Jonathan Simkhai, and JAM Productions CO, to celebrate fashion and the arts.
Jonathan Simkhai himself will be present at our fashion show in September as we send his pre-fall collection down the runway. This will be a show unlike anything else here in Denver, Colorado and you don’t want to miss it.
The mission of the Matthew Morris Salon and Skincare 16 Year Anniversary Show is to raise funds and awareness for the Matthew Morris Scholarship Fund.
The Matthew Morris Scholarship Fund supports enrollment for members of the BIPOC community to Elevate Salon Institute in Westminster, CO. Historically, beauty schools have not incorporated multi-ethnic hair types. Elevate Salon Institute shares the mission of inclusivity and diversity, and is progressive in its teachings in techniques across multiple hair types and styles, taught to members of all communities.
About Matthew Morris:
With a background in sculpture and design, Matthew found his favorite medium in beauty. Known for being a quick-change artist, Matthew has the ability to morph clients and models into endless looks with ease. He opened the first Matthew Morris Salon and Skincare in 2006, the second in 2014 and the third in 2017. The brand is a local staple housing 75 of Denver’s most talented stylists.
With a deep understanding of classic beauty, technical excellence, and building a team, it was only natural for the world renown luxury brand, Kerastase, to find Matthew to be their perfect match as Global Master. He helped start their education team from the ground up and into the 100+ group of star educators it is now.
Matthew doesn’t sit still long and opened Elevate Salon Institute in 2018 with partners Cameron Letterman and Marvin Gutierrez, helping pave the way for future professionals, and creating the Matthew Morris Salon Scholarship Fund.
In 2019 he joined the L’Oreal team as Artistic Director, working out of the corporate offices in Hudson Yards, NYC.
Matthew is back in Colorado now, and has a new project as owner of Crown Beauty Brands, a grass-roots beauty distribution company to serve Colorado stylists with top of the line products and education.
After appearing on Bravo’s ‘Shear Genius’, Matthew and his salon have been a staple at NYFW as key hair and makeup or support to a multitude of designers including Tom Ford, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, The Blonds, Phillip Lim, Diane Von Furstenberg and Geoffrey Mac. The team has worked on top models including Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid to name a few.
Other notables are styling the Victoria Secret Angels for three productions during their annual televised runway show, and working with Tom Ford on Carine Roitfeld’s epic last issue as Editor In Chief of French Vogue.

About Jonathan Simkhai
Established in 2010, the Jonathan Simkhai brand provides luxury ready-to-year for the modern woman. The core aesthetic philosophy plays with the tension of feminine strength and sensuality; this is reflected in the employment of customized fabrics, romantic detailing, linear lines, and contoured silhouettes. Through designs that seek to embolden women with confidence and ease, the brand represents modern versatility. As a 2015 winner of the prestigious CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund, Jonathan Simkhai continues to redefine the 21st century wardrobe and reinvigorate American fashion.
Founded in New York, Jonathan Simkhai launched his eponymous label after years of experience as a buyer and merchandiser. He honed his technical skills at Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Early success of the label propelled Simkhai into the CFDA {Fashion Incubator} program where he developed his eye for quality of craft. Simkhai is continuously inspired by the built environment, which motivated his creative progress and desire to push conventional design boundaries. His work often explores the confluence of technology and hand-made artistry.
